Omni Tend vs Epos Now

Epos Now and Omni Tend compared for a UK pub, cafe or shop: the real monthly price behind the hardware offer, the 12-month contract, card rates, stock, rotas and checks. Checked 23 October 2026.

Epos Now is a Norwich-founded till company that sells a hardware bundle with a software subscription and its own card processing. It is a capable all-in-one till with stock, purchase orders and kitchen printing, and its support is in-house six days a week. The thing to read before you sign is the contract: the headline hardware price comes with a 12-month, auto-renewing subscription, and the cheaper "Plus" pricing depends on putting your card payments through Epos Now.

Omni Tend is a monthly direct debit with no hardware to buy: it runs on any device with a browser, takes cards through a Stripe reader or whatever terminal you already have, and adds the rota, holidays, training and daily checks that Epos Now leaves to other apps.
